Career

In 2004, Mulholland, with partner Jayma Cardoso, set up a night club called CAIN in a taxi garage on Manhattan's west side, specializing in "bottle service". The venue received positive media coverage, so Mulholland arranged CAIN pop-up locations in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival, Miami Beach for the MTV Video Music Awards, and the Hamptons.

In 2007, Mulholland opened both the GoldBar in NYC's Nolita and CAIN at The Cove Atlantis on Paradise Island in The Bahamas at the Atlantis Resort.

In 2008, Mulholland, with three other investors, opened The Surf Lodge, a 32-room hotel, night club and restaurant in Montauk, on the eastern end of Long Island. This venue later became the subject of a lawsuit between Edgemere Montauk (the partners' company) and King & Grove, the company hired to manage the lodge. The noise and crowds brought about by the popularity of the club venue have been the cause of complaints from community members and disagreements about parking and bylaw enforcement. In 2012 Mulholland and the club's other owners were taken to court, charged with fire and other municipal code violations.

In 2010, the original CAIN night club closed its doors.

In 2012, Mulholland purchased a converted 19th century bank building in New York and opened a night club called Five Nightclub
