Delta Psi Chi Fraternity is a fraternity consisting of 10 active chapters (known as "Swordsmen") at 10 American colleges and universities. The mission of the Delta Psi Chi Fraternity is to create and maintain an enduring society which encourages the sharing of traditions and values, respect for oneself and others, and responsibility to the university and community.
Delta Psi Chi was founded on April 24, 1985, by 7 students at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with the idea of emphasizing the fraternal and social principles of a brotherhood. It was the first Black Greek-letter organization of its kind to be founded on these grounds, rather than the literary characteristics of the many then-existing societies.
